🎨 Itoku Adire Market
Indigo everywhere. Buy, dye and sell Adire.
About the place
Itoku Market, near Olumo Rock, is famous for Adire, the indigo resist-dyed cloth that Abeokuta is known for across Nigeria. Traders sell Eleko (starch-resist), Oniko (tie-resist) and Alabere (stitch-resist) styles.
Adire styles in the game
- Adire Eleko: Starch-resist: cassava paste painted by hand.
- Adire Oniko: Tie-resist: cloth tied with raffia before dyeing.
- Adire Alabere: Stitch-resist: sewn with thread, then dyed.
The Adire workshop mini-game lets you time each dip into the indigo. Better cloth sells for more.
